Hi! My name is Rebecca and I am so excited to be fundraising for my internship with Soccer Without Borders in Granada, Nicaragua. Growing up, soccer was always a huge part of my life. Whether I played for a club team, for my high school, or just kicking a ball around in the street with friends, the sport has helped to mold me into the young lady I am today. It taught me patience, perseverance, discipline, and how to be part of a team. The values that soccer helped to instill in me I have carried throughout my life.
My passion for Latin American culture, for working with underprivileged kids, and for soccer has fueled me to become involved with Soccer Without Borders for the 2013 calendar year. I am looking forward to watching the girls in the community grow through soccer and truly hope that you will consider supporting my time in Granada! Together, we can all make a difference.
