In August, 12 of us will depart NYC for DC on a 4-day ride to raise money for the laboratory of Dr. Yuntao Wu of George Mason University. We pay our own way, buy our own equipment and supplies, pitch our own tents... So 100% of your donations go directly to Dr. Wu with no bureaucratic strings attached!!

I ride for everyone living with HIV/AIDS and to honor those we have lost. I ride for everyone who has a loved one living with HIV/AIDS and to honor those they have lost. I ride because I believe that together we can beat this disease, and because I believe the groundbreaking research of Dr. Wu will do it! (P.S. IN RANK REASON: Apart from being an anagram of my name, it symbolizes and embodies my philosophy for this ride. Government funding is too slow and too restrictive. There are many great, new ideas out there and we must strike while the iron is hot! That's why cutting-edge researchers like Dr. Wu rely on outside support to explore creative, original, and sometimes unconventional new methods to get a fresh perspective and new insights on the nature of this mysterious disease. If doing the same old thing every time actually worked, we'd already have solutions to all the hardest problems.
