Inga Green NCC Protege Program
Inga Green fundraising for National Community Church
I am about to embark on a new season in my life. This season involves dedicating myself to a year doing an unpaid internship.
Well I have always loved serving people and in order to pursue this calling I would like to develop basic skills in outreach that would help me be more comfortable with the task I have been given. I hope the program will develop or reveal gifts within me that can be used for improving the lives of people around me. Most of all I realized that I need to humble myself to learn how to serve. It is easy for me to become prideful in my skills and think that I could accomplish things on my own. But what I have learned during my time at NCC is that I require guidance from the program to actually serve in the right manner.
I hope to be an encouragement to the people I come across during this journey. I hope to foster reconciliation among individuals and groups here and abroad. My ultimate gain from this experience I feel will be the opportunity to, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (NIV), with others that are experiencing the same or similar things I am in the program. It will be a privilege to watch and experience God’s work in our hearts and spirit.
