a community mikveh project welcoming all Jews, for conversion & traditional monthly immersion, and for powerfully marking life’s transitions
ImmerseNYC is modeled after the successful Boston-based community mikveh Mayyim Hayyim. Their mission is to “reclaim and reinvent one of Judaism’s most ancient rituals–immersion in the mikveh–for contemporary spiritual use; to teach about this resource to all who are interested; and to make the mikveh a sacred space that is open and accessible to all Jews and those who are becoming Jews.”
Our goals are to introduce New York Jews to the myriad ways that mivkeh can add meaning to their Jewish lives, and to build a community mikveh in New York City.
