Providing books to area children ages 0-5 FREE!
The Imagination Library is a program that was started in April of 2008 that delivers monthly, hardcover, age and developmentally appropriate books to children's homes from birth up to age five-FREE! The United Way is encouraging parents to take part in readying their children for school by partnering with Imagination Library and sponsoring the program in Northern St. Louis County, parts of Itasca County as well as Koochiching County. A child enrolled at birth will have a library of 60 books by the time he or she enters kindergarten. To date over 2900 children are receiving books!
