IL COPS Cycle Accross Illinois-Jodie Wise

On August 20th, 2004, I lost a dear friend Jonathan Walsh, Joliet PD, in the line of duty. I was looking for a way to keep his memory alive, and I heard about the Cycle Accross Illinois ride. I had participated in other fundraisers, and knew of the outstanding reputation IL COPS had. I believed that by participating in the ride, not only would I be honoring Jon, I was also helping other families of fallen officers, along the way. I wasn't sure I was going to make it, since I had purchased my first road bike only a month before. But, being surrounded by the survivors was so emotionally powerful, the length of the ride was no problem.

I hate asking for money, because I know how far we are stretched in this economy, but think of how much worse off many of the survivoring families must be! Thank you so much!!!!
