On Thursday, November 17, 2011, the ICWA Law Center is hosting a benefit event at Open Book, 1011 Washington Avenue South, Mpls, MN 55415.

Please join us for hors d'oeuvres (courtesy of Lucia's), drinks, and entertainment provided by local American Indian writers: Heid Erdrich (Ojibwe), Emily Johnson (Yupik), Jay Bad Heart Bull (Lakota), and Bobby Wilson (Dakota). The reception will begin at 6pm and the program will start at 7pm. We will also have a silent auction at the event with items donated by local artists, businesses and law firms.

All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting the ICWA Law Center, a non-profit legal services provider for low-income American Indian families with case impacted by the Indian Child Welfare Act.

There is a suggested donation of $30 to attend this event.

For more information contact: Carly Bad Heart Bull at (612) 879-9165 or carly@icwlc.org.
