Help orphan children in India!

Part of the road up Mt. Lemmon.

Running marathons is one thing I love to do! I decided to run while raising money for a cause that I believe in!

I have been running marathons for quite a while now. In the last year or two I decided it was time to put all of this running to good use. But in looking for a non-profit to benefit, I hadn't found one that really stirred my heart until now. My friend, Kristi Werre is one of the founders of a non-profit that helps provide basic and therapeutic needs to orphans in India. It is called Illuminate India. I know three beautiful children that came from orphanages in India and have seen how just basic supplies can make such a huge difference. This non-profit does more than just that. Illuminate India provides hope for special needs children by providing therapeutic equipment and physical therapy so they can make gains in their development. They also bring provisions like bed sheets, medicine, toys and clothes to the children.

I will be running the Mt. Lemmon Marathon on April 29th to support this cause. This will be the toughest marathon I have ever run but it gives me more strength to know that every dollar I raise will go toward changing the life of an orphan. Please partner with me to bring hope to the futures of these children.
