Dear Friends & Family:

iMentor stays true to its mission of linking NYC high school students with caring mentors. Since I started working at iMentor as a Program Coordinator, my life has changed completely. From supporting mentors to empower their mentees to the special moments in the classroom with iMentor students, my passion for the our mission only grows stronger each day.

As a product of many great mentors and a supportive family, I've seen what a difference one person can make in someone's life. This year our NYC Program has grown to pair 1,200 students with quality mentors and we still have a long way to go. Your contribution will go a TREMENDOUS way, as we are expanding next year to support 1,800 pairs in NYC. It takes a village to raise a child and that's why I am genuinely asking for your help today. If you are looking to donate to a worthy cause this year, here it is. I encourage you to please donate what's best for you at this time and know that every gift is significant.

Our mentors are dedicated to changing the lives of students who need a little extra push towards the finish line. With the NYC high school attrition rate at a low, it's important to establish a strong mentoring movement among NYC residents as well as spread the word about successful mentoring work across the country. In an effort to help motivate you to donate, I am pledging to run in the NYC Women's half marathon on Sunday, April 25, 2010 if I reach my goal of $1,000. You can help iMentor grow and take small steps to make a big difference in the lives of 1,800 students by donating in any way you can today!
