I-75 Victims Memorial Fund (FLORIDA)

On Sunday, January 29, 2012, 11 people lost their lives in a horrific traffic crash on Interstate 75 just south of Gainesville when at least a dozen cars, six tractor trailers and a motorhome collided. At least 21 people were injured.

United Way of North Central Florida has partnered with the Governor's Office and Florida's Foundation to collect and administer donations to the victims and families of the I-75 tragedy.

Donations can be made through United Way's I-75 Victims Memorial Fund or to Florida's Foundation. United Way will be working with the injured, families of victims and Shands to administer the funding for local housing, food, transportation and burial assistance for victims and families.

Phone cards; gift cards to stores, restaurants and gas stations; and burial need donations are also being accepted. If you mail a check, please make out to United Way of North Central Florida, and include I-75 Fund on the check, or with an enclosed note.
