Facts are that approximately 5 to 7 million companion animals enter a shelter each year in the US. Sadly 3 to 4 million (yes million) are euthanized.

Heading Home K9 Rescue is a foster-based, 501(c)(3), non-profit, NO-KILL rescue located in the heart of Minnesota.

We have a soft spot for those that need the most help...the unwanted, abandoned, neglected dogs. We don't turn away the puppymill survivors, seniors, big black mixed breeds, and animals who have been injured.

Our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes, not a facility. They are integrated into our homes and lives...they become part of our family. We try our best to match the dogs with the needs, wants, personalities, and lifestyles of potential adopters to ensure a healthy, happy, & permanent home.

We are an independent organization and depend solely on adoption fees, fundraisers, and donations to operate. We receive NO government support. Your donation to our organization, will allow us to continue on with this critical endeavor.
