The Hong Kong Jewish Film Festival is Asia's first festival showcasing the best Jewish-themed film from around the world.
Since its first event held in 2000, the Festival has screened over 200 features, documentaries and short films from 34 countries in 33 languages and dialects. Every year it hosts directors, producers, film critics and curators who showcase their films, educate and offer their opinions to audience members.
The objective of the festival is four-fold:
• to celebrate Jewish culture
• to entertain
• to educate and enlighten
• to provide a platform for cross-cultural communication
More than just a bunch of films strung together, we seek to create an event where people can come together to not only enjoy some good films but also build a personal connection to the Jewish community.
