Helping people help themselves to alleviate hunger

Women’s micro-credit provides opportunities for illiterate females to become active members in the economy, thereby increasing their ability to have greater input within their communities. The impact of this program is improved family nutrition, housing, and in particular, more education, especially for the daughters. The common remark among our beneficiaries is “I can’t read or write, but because of micro-credit loans my daughters won’t go through life this way."
