HELP! is here to provide support, education, and advocacy at all stages of liver disease, from newly-diagnosed to end-of-life.
Help & Education for Liver Patients (HELP!) is dedicated to hepatitis C and organ donor awareness; compassionate support services for liver patients and their families; and integrated 'liver-&-life' counseling for recovering addicts.
HELP! specializes in hepatitis C and liver transplantation, but liver disease has common characteristics, whether caused by viral hepatitis, alcohol, PBC, PSC, or other causes, so HELP! is here for all.
HELP! was founded by Ed & C.N. Gordon in 1998, when Ed received a life-saving liver transplant at Stanford.
The Gordons and the work of HELP! have received recognition from noted hepatologists, California legislators, and organizations such as the American Liver Foundation and California HCV Task Force.
HELP! is a member organization of CalHEP (California Hepatitis Alliance) and NVHR (National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable).
