Help us complete our playground!
A project of Metro Deaf School
MDS' parent-teacher group has raised over $58,000 to construct a playground for its students but we still need $22,000 to complete it.
MDS' preschool and elementary-age students love recess – what kid doesn’t! For the past several years, the school's parent-teacher group (PTG) has diligently raised funds to make a new playground a reality. The new building allowed for space but no structure. $58,000 in donations from fundraisers and donors provided a new surface and fencing, and just this fall a play structure for the 3-5 year old group. The little ones LOVE it! Now the school and the PTG are working at raising the final $22,000 to build the play structure for the elementary-age students. $22,000 will complete this much desired project and provide a healthy, physical recess opportunity for the students.
The neighborhood can also enjoy the playground when school is not in session, so everyone benefits from this "community" project!
