Help the St. Croix Valley YMCA

I've been involved with the YMCA for almost 20 years, both as a member and team member. The core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility have been part of my personal being ever since! Some of my fondest memories as a child are jumping off the diving boards at the Northeast Area YMCA in White Bear Lake, Minnesota into a freezing cold pool of water. As a college student at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, I started working for the YMCA part in the Membership and Custodial departments. After graduation, my wife, Ashley, and I moved to Boulder, Colorado and started our professional lives with the YMCA. As part of the Membership team, one of my essential duties was working on recruitment and retention of members. More specifically, I worked with directly with the people who could not afford a membership at regular cost and benefit from YPartners. After two wonderful years in Boulder, we decided to move back to the Midwest. Fortunately, I was able to transfer to the Skyway and Southwest YMCA's in the YMCA of Greater St. Paul. Today, I am a second grade teacher in the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District. My wife still works for the St. Croix Valley YMCA as the Aquatics Director. I can proudly say that the YMCA is family!
