I am partnering with the Mpambara-Cox Foundation to help end poverty and hunger in Uganda. Please read my story and join us in this pursuit.

You can help a child with $30! Can you imagine?

I was privileged to travel to Kabale Uganda in Aug. of 2009. A team of 14 from the DC metro area spent a week at the Kengoma Primary School in Kabale, Uganda. Our mission was simple.... to love on the children and the staff at the Kengoma Primary School. We provided them with toothbrushes, toothpaste, toys, candy, fun, games, music, and back packs full of school supplies.

However, Kengoma is only 1 of 21 schools that are working in corporation with the Mpambara-Cox Foundation. The Foundation connects American schools with schools in Uganda. I was able to witness first hand the difference a small cup of porridge and clean water can make. School attendance has sky rocketed! When we began our support of the Kengoma school, 254 students were registered, and just under 200 actually attended. I am proud to announce that after 1 year of porridge and clean water, the school now has just under 400 in daily attendance, not to mention the improved health of the students.

Education is the answer to poverty! The more educated a child is, the better options he/she has as an adult.

The Kengoma Primary School is an example of what can happen when people give! A small amount can feed a child a daily cup of porridge and provide clean water for an entire school. Will you help make a difference? Join us in the pursuit to end poverty and hunger!
