Help Project Purr raise money to care for the sick, injured and abandoned homeless cats of Baton Rouge.

Project Purr BR's biggest cost is veterinary care. Each rescued cat currently averages $150 in expenses. The average adoption fee covers less than half of that. Your donation helps us cover the remainder of the expense, and allows us to save more cats.

Your donations have helped us not only provide routine veterinary care to countless pets, but have helped offset cost of care for many special injured cats and kittens. One such kitten is Daphne. She was rescued by Project Purr BR with a badly crushed right front leg, when she was only a few days old. Ultimately that leg had to be amputated to save her life.

Another is Sir Milton. Sir Milton would certainly have been euthanized if left at the public shelter, as he is unable to walk due to severe hind leg deformity. Project Purr BR rescued this incredibly affectionate and joyful kitten and he is now happily living and loving life in his adoptive home.
