Help Keith "Pinch the Grinch"

I really need you to help me "Pinch the Grinch." With the economy the way it has been there are so many people who need groceries and Common Cupboard is there for them. My goal is to raise $2000 only then will I consider my job done - The Grinch will be pinched!!!

When Barbara Chandler, Harry Walden, Deb and I started Common Heart. We believed that “small things done with great love” would make a world of difference. We imagined people from all over our community joining together to serve with God’s kind of love. And this is exactly what has happened.

At Thanksgiving time we were able to give everything needed for complete turkey dinners to 451 families. Over 100 volunteers come out and it was an amazing time. God's love flowed and lives were touched.

We also had an amazing Neighborhood party where nearly 400 people came out. Again it was followers of Jesus from several area churches that provided food, music, give-aways and encouragement in this neighborhood.

But the most amazing thing to me is that this past year over 10,000 people were provided a weeks worth of groceries. Every Saturday, and many days during the week, boxes and bags are packed and loaded into cars. Caring followers of Jesus serve with no strings attached.

In the "Pinch the Grinch" campaign, Common Heart is looking to raise $7200. This will replace grant money lost in June. $7200 will provide 514 weeks of groceries for individuals and families that we serve! It was a major loss to Common Heart. But now we have the chance to "Pinch the Grinch."
