Donations will help cover my living expenses while in Nicaragua as well as support the programs I will be working with
From July 11, 2012 to August 7, 2013 I will be volunteering right outside of Managua, Nicaragua for a non-profit organization called Manna Project International.
Manna Project International (MPI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that utilizes the passions and energy of young people to empower developing international communities through hands-on learning and service.
Our model is a collaborative community-based approach to development. By working within and alongside communities, our volunteers strive to promote each community’s success while simultaneously learning from them. Our approach stresses holistic development, recognizing that the challenges facing these communities are multi-faceted. These challenges must therefore be addressed through a variety of disciplines, as well as a combination of direct service, local leadership, and broader policy changes.
The programs I will be working on help individuals help themselves to better the community. I will be helping to develop english and literacy programs as well as helping small business owners.
Any amount that you can donate towards these efforts mean the world to me! Remember, all donations are tax deductible.
I am so excited to share this adventure with you!
Thanks for all your support!
