Your donations will help enable a military family from Iowa forever change the life of a special little, special needs girl from Korea.

Anna weighed only 4 pounds when she was born. Various medical conditions have continued to restrict her growth and at 13 months she still weighs only 14 pounds. She has experienced cognitive and motor delays and has been diagnosed with failure to thrive, even with decent medical attention in her foster home in South Korea.

Scott is a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army and Angela is a stay at home mom. They have a biological son (Isaac, now 10) who was born with special needs. Following Isaac’s birth, Scott’s heart was forever changed when, during his first deployment, he witnessed countless young and very poor children wandering the streets, seemingly with no place to go. From then on Scott knew that he wanted to adopt.

Having a special needs son at home and recognizing the difficulties of placing special need orphans, the couple felt compelled to adopt a special needs child. In 2007, the couple joyously welcomed Ella into their family. Now 4, Ella was born premature with various medical issues but has since outgrown her special needs. Now Scott and Angela are adopting once more, in the hope of giving Ella a sister who shares her Korean heritage, and in the hope of once again serving an orphan in need.
