Family, Friends and Team Mates,

My name is Corinne Heavner and I am a current u19 captain. I am 15 years old, going to be a junior in high school and I love rugby! I have been with NYRC for three years now and I have been very dedicated to the club along with grateful for all the things that NYRC has done for me. Along with improving my skills and love for rugby, NYRC has made be a better person by making sure I keep up in school and giving me a mentor to help me with anything.

Some accomplishments in rugby I have achieved have been making captain of the NYRC u19 rugby team, playing with MetNY select side rugby team for 3 years and playing on the USA u17 team last summer.

This Summer I plan on improving my rugby skills greatly by attending as much rugby camps as possible.

The camp i want to go to is in Milwaukee and is the u20 Women’s National Team Flight Camp. Its is four day camp that is led by the u20 national coach Bryn Chivers along with the u20 assistant coaches Danielle Miller and Karl Barth. I attended this camp last year and it got me a spot on the u17 national team. I hope that this year will result in the same way or even better. The cost of this camp is $250 and the cost of the flight is about $250

What I am asking of you is to help me with a scholarship of any amount, towards the $1,000 that I must raise to get to these camps, that will greatly help me achieve my goal of making the USA women’s national team. NYRC is a 501 3c club which means that all donation are tax deductible. Any donation amount is helpful, it all adds up!

Yours in Rugby,

Corinne Heavner
