Common Ground's Green Building Campaign * In 2007, CG launched a $4.3 million dollar campaign to 'build green'

* Where are we building green? The Lee (Manhattan), The Hollander (Hartford, CT), Brook Avenue (The Bronx), The Domenech (Brownsville, Brooklyn), Cederwoods (Willimantic, CT) and Hegeman Avenue (Brownsville, Brooklyn)

* Some of our new Green features include:
LEED (Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design) certification
High performance condensing boilers
“Smart” heating and cooling systems
Drought resistant landscaping
Water-saving fixtures
Building with recycled, low off-gassing
and low-toxicity materials
Green roofs with gardens planted and
maintained by building tenants
Covered bicycle racks to encourage
bicycling and protect bicycles from wear

* All donations will be matched by a challange grant from the Kresge Foundation
