Africa Classroom Connection promotes educational improvements in rural South Africa through fundraising and cultural exchange.

Hello, travelers, prospective travelers and others! I work with Africa Classroom Connection and am helping to plan trips to South Africa and Malawi this July and August. See the travel page of our website (www.africaclassroomconnection.org) for details, and if you're interested in joining a trip, please let us know.

The purpose of these trips is philanthropic and cultural. Travelers visit schools, meet wonderful people, and learn about the promise and challenges of education. Funds raised from these trips will result in building two new classrooms, enough for 80 students to continue their education! Each traveler contributes $1,000.

I have created this page as an example to help travelers create their own individual fundraising pages. (But if you’d like to contribute through this page, all donations go directly to Africa Classroom Connection).

Travelers, you can use this space to tell your story, describe how you came to be involved with Africa Classroom Connection, or what drives you to work for this cause. Let potential contributors know what you’ll be doing in South Africa and Malawi this summer and what your fundraising goal is. You can simply raise the required $1,000 contribution, or aim higher for whatever amount you'd like to raise. Then spread the word! Email family, friends and colleagues a link to your fundraising page, send postcards, or post it on Facebook and Twitter. Past travelers have held a fundraising Spaghetti dinner or a garage sale to raise funds.

Please let me know if you need any help!

Alll the best,
Claire
