Health Birth Day is dedicated to the prevention of stillbirth and infant death through education, advocacy and support.
Are you having a boy or a girl? I can't remember how many times I was asked that during my two pregnancies...but I can remember my answer each time. We don't know or care as long as the baby is healthy.
That answer took on a whole new meaning when our second child, our son Jax, was born. Most of you know he spent 12 long days in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit fighting for his life and now lives with a serious heart condition.
I had taken for granted that I would have healthy babies.
Please join me to help ensure more babies are born healthy through Health Birth Day and our Count the Kicks program. You may not know that approximately 26,000 babies are stillborn each year in the US. We can do something about it though. We can educate expectant parents and medical providers about the importance of counting the kicks daily during the third trimester of pregnancy.
We know this simple, no-cost technique is saving babies!
Check out baby Abigail's story below for proof.
