A project of Headwaters Science Center
HSC was founded in 1993 as a hands-on Center in northern Minnesota to further the appreciation and understanding of science and technology.
HSC needs financial support from members and friends as never before! New faces, exciting ideas, plans for a bigger and better facility, and an ever-increasing need for science education create an environment for huge change and exciting plans for the future. You can help chart this course to the future with a donation, large or small. About one-third of our operating expenses must come from donations and gifts from generous people that share our commitment to world-class science education.
The bar to the right shows examples of what various levels of giving could actually accomplish in terms of day-to-day operations at Headwaters Science Center.
The future of our country depends on well-trained and dedicated scientists. In 2010, U.S. students ranked 14th out of 24 developed nations in science skills. The National goal is to raise this to first. We are helping to achieve that goal by showing that science is important, challenging and fun!
