The NYC chapter of volunteers for Sustainable Harvest International, Dating For a Cause, and Sweet Charity invite you to come out to Slate Bar on Monday, May 24 6-9pm to meet tons of fun people and watch the NYC screening of “Planting Hope” a new documentary about Sustainable Harvest International.
Singles looking for that special someone will be given green stickers. Happy couples will be given red stickers. There will be free food, drink specials, and raffle prizes, including a chance to win TWO FREE NIGHTS AT THE COTTON TREE LODGE IN BELIZE. $15 cover charge. Free if you donate at least $10 through this website before May 22.
Since 1997, Sustainable Harvest International has planted more than 2.7 million trees and converted tens of thousands of acres to sustainable uses.SHI works with families and students throughout Honduras, Panama, Belize and Nicaragua implementing alternatives to slash-and-burn farming, one of the leading causes of rainforest destruction in the region.
