After 3 years of touring,The Hanumen are gathering in Portland,OR to record their first CD. We need your support in creating this album!

The Hanumen are a multi-talented group of artists and musicians who dance between rocking grooves and goofy humor. They create a joyful sound heard throughout all faiths, using song, laughter, poetry and story. Their heart- centered music gathers community to uplift, inspire and stir the soul.

How can we work together as a conscious community to create lasting peace? The world we know today is filled with hurry, worry, fear and self doubt. Reading the news, watching TV, experiencing painful situations repeatedly, most people feel vulnerable, isolated and powerless to effect any change. Seven billion human hearts long to open the door to faith and peace but very few know how, or even that it is possible...it's time to call the HANUMEN!

The Hanumen are John de Kadt, Purusartha Dasa, Gaura Vani, and Benjy Wertheimer. These diverse artists present a unique experience of world-music, mystic poetry and mantra chanting - a musical journey to the deepest part of the soul. They create a soulful and ecstatic celebration of Naada Yoga (the yoga of sacred sound and vibration) and Bhakti Yoga (the yoga of love and devotion) with an array of unique instruments from around the globe. The Hanumen deliver a powerful, community building and mesmerizing musical message.

For any of us lucky enough to have connected with the power of mantra music, we know it is a potential antidote to the chaos of our modern culture. The West has now just begun to realize the power, depth, and solutions these vibrations offer for life’s versatile issues.

The first step to expanding the Hanumen vision is to record their first album this fall in Portland, OR! The upcoming recording dates include a free concert for the inmates at the Oregon State Correctional Institution. The project is supported by the Call and Response Foundation, a non profit bringing mantra music to wider audiences www.callandresponsefoundation.org and Mantralogy, an upbeat mantra record label leading the revolution. www.mantralogy.com
