Haiti Relief through Partners in Health

By now I'm sure we're all aware of the devastation in Haiti. And many of you have no doubt seen reports of people using the situation to scam would-be donors. To top it off, Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti charity appears to be managed by AIG lackeys. So obviously, before donating money to an organization, one should do a bit of research to be sure that as much of the donation is being used for the cause and that the organization is active in the relief effort. That's why I've done the research for you and created this page.

PIH uses 94.8% of donations (http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=4884) to fund their relief efforts. To put that in perspective, the American Red Cross uses only 90.1% (http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=3277). Also, PIH is already on the ground providing relief!

These two facts mean that the most is being made of your donation. In addition, when you donate via this page using Razoo.com, you will incur no credit card transaction fee (typically 3-5% of your donation) and 100% of your donation amount will go directly to Partners in Health.

And if that's not enough, I'll be matching your donations, dollar for dollar until we get to $100. I wish I could go higher as others have, but that's the best I can do right now. And of course, keep on donating once we reach the goal since it's a great cause and 100% of your donation goes right to it.
