Group Home for Adults with Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilites

Our House of Minnesota, Inc is a non-profit corporation which operates two group homes serving adults with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. The homes are located in the Merriam Park neighborhood of St. Paul. Each home provides the opportunity for six individuals to live in a setting which promotes independence while providing necessary support and assistance.

Our House has been serving adults with mental retardation since 1975. Two of our residents have been with us all 32 years.

Both of our houses are two-story. One is over 100 years old and the other is approaching 70. Therefore, our long term goal is to increase our modest endowment fund in preparation for future home remodeling or relocation as changes in resident needs arise. Our immediate needs include replacing our two 1999 vans as well as raising funds for resident recreational purposes: attending camp, ball games, and a new TV.
