The purpose of this fundraise is to help raise money for the Mass Mentoring Partnership.

I decided to run the 2012 Boston Marathon. This has been something that I have wanted to do for quite some time. I am very proud to join the Mass Mentoring Partnership team in an effort to raise money for young people in need.

By the time I run the marathon, my father will be gone over ten years (passed away at only 57). He was a great mentor to me but also touched the lives of many. Most recently, I bumped into someone who mentioned how much my dad impacted his life as the coach of a Little League baseball team. This has helped inspire me to coach my children in their various sports and activities. It is sometimes the little things we do that make the biggest difference.

This past September, I lost another important mentor, my father in law Bob Bricker. He was always so eager to learn and pass along his knowledge to help others. Bob spent his life helping people that needed it the most. He had a zest for life that is second to none. I learned from Bob to make the most of every day.

Next April I will take both of them with me when I set out to conquer Heartbreak Hill and the Boston Marathon. Any donation that you can make towards this great cause is very much appreciated.

Thank you very much,

Greg
