A project of Jewish Jumpstart
Julia Moss & Dan Eckstein invite you to join them in supporting Jumpstart. All gifts will be matched by a generous donor!
We're writing this from two cities halfway around the world from each other—Chiang Mai and New York—and we've never even met in person. We come from very different backgrounds and work in different fields. What we have in common—besides being 20something Jews—are encounters with Jumpstart that changed the way we think about and engage in Jewish life.
Last year, at different times and on different coasts, we each heard Jumpstart's co-founders talk about the emerging Jewish world and the hundreds of creative organizations that are fostering a new kind of Jewish engagement.
When Joshua Avedon and Shawn Landres described their work at Jumpstart, we heard a calling.
As young Jewish adults, we are actively choosing to build, reinforce, study and be proud of where we came from, who we are today, and who we will be tomorrow. To us and many of our peers, it’s not about whether someone is Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, or simply Jewish; it is about the fact that we are all living together and benefiting from each other’s lives, experiences, thoughts and education. ;
Working around the globe, Jumpstart is at the forefront of the conversation to shape the Jewish future we are hoping to create. By giving hands-on help to new organizations and by mobilizing support for sustainable Jewish innovation (learn more here), Jumpstart is helping us build a dynamic and compelling Jewish future.
We're proud to support Jumpstart and be part of this new Jewish world, and we invite you to be part of it as well.
Please join us in making a year-end gift to Jumpstart. Through December 31st, your gift of any amount—$9 or $18, $180 or $1,800—will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous supporter and will provide much-needed support.
Thanks to Jumpstart, we're staking our claims in 21st-century Jewish life. We hope you'll do the same!
