GOALS (Get Outside And Learn Something) is working hard to raise funds that offset the costs of our wilderness river programs for kids.
During a GOALS outdoor education program, kids put away their video games and disconnect from the confinements of electronic media- learning to push themselves both physically and mentally, to trust one another, and to recognize the growth that occurs individually and collectively between the put-in and the take-out of a wilderness river canyon.
Kids walk away from a GOALS program with an increased sense of confidence and comfort outdoors, a knowledge of the difference between healthy risks and unhealthy risks, and an understanding of the importance of conservation.
