We pair each GlobeMed university-based chapter with a unique organization already improving the health of its community.

Year after year, these students and grassroots leaders collaborate on projects that deepen and expand the organization's impact. The result: organizations with a greater capacity to serve their community and a generation of young people equipped to make change in the world.

Founded in 2007, the GlobeMed network engages 1,500 undergraduates at 46 university-based chapters throughout the U.S. Our chapters are partnered one-to-one with community-based health organizations in 18 countries throughout Africa, Asia, North America, and South America. Fundraising and on-site efforts at each chapter contribute to one or more of six key areas of impact: Maternal Health, Water Sanitation & Hygiene, Nutrition, Income Generation, STI & Disease Prevention, and Capacity Building. Through their involvement today, our students and partners commit to a life of leadership in global health and social justice.

Throughout the year, GlobeMed chapters strengthen long-term partnerships through frequent communication, fundraise through innovative initiatives for health projects that help partner organizations achieve their mission, educate students about global health issues through a signature global health education and leadership development curriculum, and intern on-site with partner organizations.
