Giving Misha, a 12 yr. boy from Ukraine, a family who loves him like crazy!

Misha’s Story.

Misha Cheban is a 12 year old boy who has spent the last 9 years of his life in orphanages in Odessa, Ukraine. He was removed from his parents at the age of 3, when his dad was imprisoned and his mother was not able to care for him because of her alcohol abuse. Misha has always dreamed of having a family and the chances of a twelve year old boy being adopted are very slim. If he is not adopted his chances of a hopeful future are even slimmer because at the age of 18 he will be removed from the care and protection of the orphanage and will be on his own with no family support and little to no societal support. The future of an orphan after being released as an adult is not very bright, most will turn to a life of crime, drugs and their life expectancy is not very long. We had the privilege of hosting Misha for a month this summer. This month was an amazing time! We had the opportunity to get to know a wonderful child that is full of life. He has compassion for younger children and an eagerness to help out wherever he sees a need. We believe that Misha belongs in our family, and have committed to making him a part of our family. This process takes several months and costs a considerable amount of money to complete, but we know that God is faithful to provide and does so in amazing ways! Misha is a wonderful child that would flourish in a nurturing environment and will have a bright future with proper support and encouragement. We are blessed by the generosity of others and would cherish any help to make Misha’s dream of having a family a reality. Thank you!
