Last summer I volunteered at Girls Rock Rhode Island, and it changed me forever! I taught drums and coached two bands while I was in Rhode Island for the week visiting my best friend/bandmate/GRRI volunteer coordinator Shannon, so I told her to sign me up for whatever! She was my ride anyway, so I was there basically all day, everyday!

I was so inspired by how quickly the girls learned drums in drum lesson, and how from the first day of band practice I couldn't believe how easily it all came to them.

I WEPT MY EYES OUT when they played their showcase show on Friday that week. I can't even explain how amazing it was! I wish so much that I had had Girls Rock Camp growing up!
