The students of Mr. Gibson's FifthGrade Class have committed to nightly reading in order to raise funds for classroom technology.

Mr. Gibson’s class shared their favorite parts of stories they read.

My favorite part in Sang Spell was when Kasper threatened to attack Josh if he didn’t follow the plan. Another student liked the romantic parts in the book. I liked the part in the story when Josh was punished for his crime of losing the boat.

My favorite part in Hatchet was when the moose attacked Brian and when the tornado came. Brian hoped that the tornado would hit the moose. Another interesting part was when the plane crashed and Brian was lost in the forest.

In the Big Wave, I liked the part when Jaya married Kino’s sister and they built a house by the ocean with a window facing out to sea to show that they were no longer afraid.

I loved the part in Number the Stars when they were about to open the casket.

I liked the part in Midnight Fox when Tom dug into the dirt and imagined all the new colors that he discovered.

One of my favorite parts in Moon and I was when one of the characters said in a southern accent, “Would you like some Hep?”

The best part in Matchlock Gun is when an Indian came to attack.

In Stone Fox, I liked the part when Little Willie and Stone Fox were racing and when the Searchlight collapsed.

In Time Warp Trio, I liked when they went 2095 and met their great grandchildren.

I loved the part in the Princess and the Unicorn when the evil maid locked the princess in the closet and stole the unicorn to sell it to make a lot of money.

An exciting part in the Sign of the Beaver is when the mother grizzly bear attacked Attean and Matt threw a dead rabbit at it.

I liked the part in Narnia when the children had a fight with the White witch.

We hope you might want to read some of these books.
