Restoring The Strand has been a community effort and there’s something for everyone at The Strand! People who have nostalgic memories of The Strand and people who had never been to The Strand until it re-opened in 2009 all find great entertainment here! From musicals to classic films to kid films to concerts and educational opportunities, the theatre is truly a cultural center of Cobb County. Though the theatre has been raised and restored, The Strand still needs the community’s support to pay off a $2 million short-term loan that was needed to complete the project. Gifts of all sizes will make a big difference! The Friends of The Strand, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization and gifts are tax deductible. All funds generated are paid toward the loan which was used toward construction, furnishings, equipment, and start up operations for The Strand Theatre.
