Freshwater Theatre presents "Freshwater Goes to High School
Freshwater Theatre fundraising for Springboard for the Arts
A fiscally sponsored project of Springboard for the Arts. To give to Springboard: http://givemn.razoo.com/ story/Springboard-For-The-Arts
Freshwater Theatre is closing our first full season with Ruben Carbajal's bitingly serious comedy The Gifted Program, running in rep with Freshwater Goes to High School, a night of one-act plays that meet Minnesota High School One-Act Competition guidelines.
Our goal with this fundraiser is to raise money to be able to pay the actors and directors who will bring this festival to the stage!
With The Gifted Program, Freshwater Theatre is looking back at the formulative era in the upper midwest, where today's adults were teenagers, and their ideas on sex, equality and a climate of institutional bullying were the norm. With Freshwater Goes to High School, we look at the world today, and look to give current high school students new material to perform that speaks to their experience in the here and now.
Plus: Donations over $50 will receive two comps to both The Gifted Program and Freshwater Goes to High School AND a $20 gift certificate to the Freshwater Cafetorium!
Through our inaugural 2012-2013 season, we proudly continue to fulfill our mission to bring thoughtful entertainment from local artists to our audience with heart and humor.
Your donation will not only help us produce Freshwater Goes to High School, but will help put us in position to continue to make great, local theater in 2013-2014 and beyond.
We hope you enjoy the work we do, and that you will support our mission with your donation here today!
Freshwater Theatre. We’re in it for all of us.
