Our affiliate began in 1991, as a response to the basic need of adequate housing. Since then we've built 28 houses in our two county area. In current state of our economy, adequate and affordable housing is vital for the increasing populations entering the poverty threshold. Mower County has had 130 foreclosures in 2008 with an estimated 4,555 people living below the poverty line.
