This fundraiser was created to raise awareness and funds for the NODCC and the disorder that Carter Sudberry lives with on a daily basis.

After an uneventful pregnancy, on November 27th, 2006, we were blessed with our third child, Carter Preston Sudberry. He was born at 39 weeks and a few days and was a beautiful and happy baby.

When Carter turned around six months old, we noticed that he wasn't meeting many or any of his milestones. Like so many others in our situation, we sought help from our Pediatrician. After a CT scan and MRI Carter was soon diagnosed with Partial Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. We were dumbfounded. How could this happen? This was something that happens to other people, not to our sweet baby. The real problem was that our Doctor didn't really know anything about it. Many specialized clinicians early on made declarations that he would never walk, never communicate, etc. The real problem was that we couldn't find any accurate information about the condition or what to expect. We were a grieving family sinking from discouragement and ignorance, that is until we found the NODCC website. The website offered some of the answers we had been frantically seeking. But, most importantly, the NODCC offered connections to other families like ours. Annually, a NODCC conference is held where families can come together and learn more about the condition. Moreover, the conference offers an opportunity to build relationships with other families like ours and an opportunity to share our experience, strength and hope.

Our family isn't sure we would have survived without this organization and there are other families out there receiving this diagnosis every day needing those answers to their desperate questions. . The NODCC not only supports these kids, we truly believe it is saving families.

By the way, Carter cast aside his walker over a year ago at age 4 and communicates through primarily sign language. He knows between 50-100 signs and has started to verbalize several words. There is no limit to what these children can accomplish. They need families that can support them in this journey and those families need the backbone of support the NODCC provides.

We are asking for you to please join us in supporting this organization financially. By doing so, you are funding critical research, providing support to families just like us worldwide, and quite frankly saving marriages and lives. Thank you in advance for considering a cause that is so dear to our hearts.

May God Bless You and Yours Always!!! Blake, Tina, Hunter, Rylee, & Carter Sudberry
