Foley Area C.A.R.E. "Helping Elders Remain in their Homes"

We are helping our elder neighbors remain in their homes as long as possible. To give elders a quality of life and the dignity they deserve. These services include transportation, homemaker/chore, friendly visiting/phone calls, yard clean up, and physical fitness groups. We recognize that helping elders remain in their homes is a team effort, with family and community members and medical professionals assisting in any part of the independence process. Volunteers and clients form a bond over time and some clients ask for a certain driver or volunteer to help them with certain tasks. Something as simple as grocery shopping or home repair can make an elder's life much easier and allow them to have the independence they deserve. Our exercise groups have allowed strength training as well as social interaction for participants.
