Florida Dance Theatre Subfloor Fundraiser

Construction/Renovation is set to begin soon on a new building for Florida Dance Theatre on the corner of Lake Wire Drive and Pine Street. Anticipated move-in date for Florida Dance Theatre is June 1, 2012.

The dance springstep subflooring in the new space will cost approximately $18,750. That doesn't include the approximately $42,000 in Marley that will be needed to cover the subfloor.

Florida Dance Theatre strives to increase awareness and appreciation of dance as a living art form and to produce works of high artistic quality in a wide variety of styles.

The mission of the Academy of Florida Dance Theatre is to allow each student, regardless of age, to obtain the correct training and experience necessary to fully enjoy dance as a living art form. The close affiliation with the professional company gives the students of the Academy a chance to fully experience the enriching benefits of rigorous training, physical and mental discipline, and artistic expression all on a journey that is enjoyable and fulfilling.

Florida Dance Theatre is dedicated to making the arts available to everyone. Children are of the utmost importance and their exposure to the arts as a participant or an audience member will help them in all future endeavors.
