Often times we take for granted just how precious life is. I can't imagine what it is like to lose a child to cancer, but I can tell you that when cancer plagues a member of your family, every member is forever changed. As a promise to those who have lost their lives to cancer and for those still fighting for another day I will continue to work to support Caleb’s Crusade and their mission to raise awareness for this disease and its impact on the lives of those lost and those left behind.

I met Rob and Monique Whan at the beginning of the 2011 Walt Disney World Training Program. By working with Caleb’s parents, I have learned just how far a promise can go and the great things that can be accomplished if you first, acknowledge that life is precious, make promises to yourself and others that it can be better and finally put one foot in front of the other to make it happen.

I believe in the mission of Caleb’s Crusade, the people they have supporting them and the families that they serve. Each volunteer signed up with this organization is doing great things to inspire change, improve awareness or raise financial support towards forever ending cancer.

“I run because I can, I run because they can’t” is a motto that I have grown to appreciate and respect. It’s a motto that I now choose to live by. I run for a cause, I run to fulfill a promise to impact change and I run to find a cure. And I run in honor of those who can't.

I hope that you will help me in meeting this goal. I hope that you will help Calebs Crusade impact true change. And I hope that we will all be successful in seeing a cure to cancer in our lifetime.
