Fighting homelessness and hunger in Minneapolis

The House of Charity has served the homeless for almost 60 years with housing, a food centre, & substance abuse counseling.

As a member of the board of House of Charity I see peoples lives being changed through the programs we offer. However there is a greater need in Minneapolis than we can meet. Every year we strive to expand our programs to serve more people in need in ways that will help them become more self-sustaining members of the community. Many people see the homeless at a distance. Being involved at House of Charity has put a human face on the homeless community of Minneapolis. Together we can help them help themselves, provide for their basic needs, and make the community a better place to live.
