FFGW is about transforming the fortunes of unwanted kittens & cats. We heal them, find forever homes & if an adoption fails, we begin again.

Because FFGW has no facility, we literally are wherever our volunteers are. This includes more than 50 foster homes where FFGW kitties live as family members until adoption, whether it takes days, months or, in the case of the residents of our “virtual sanctuary,” even a lifetime. In July, we learned that one sanctuary kitty who went suddenly blind on the heels of a diabetes diagnosis had an inoperable brain tumor. The costs of 11 year old former feral kitten Jolly Rancher’s emergency hospitalization, neurology consult and MRI were staggering, but the diagnostics have helped her doctors and foster family make our girl as comfortable and happy as possible (we are amazed that she continues to do well despite her grim prognosis). Caring for Jolly Rancher and recent costly rescue cases has jeopardized our ability to afford both routine and extraordinary medical care needed by the other kitties already in our foster system. So while our Adoption Program remains open, we cannot help any new cats or kittens until we have the funds to care for our current census of both adoptable and sanctuary kitties. Please help re-open our doors!

(Click on the pictures above to read a little bit about the kitties and their stories.)
