We shelter and care for homeless cats and seek permanent homes. We also support spay/neuter work. Feline Rescue is a no-kill program.
Feline Rescue, Inc. is a Minnesota based no-kill companion cat rescue organization. Our founders established Feline Rescue in 1997 in Minneapolis, MN as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all volunteer organization, with no paid staff. We are funded exclusively through donations and grants. We receive no municipal, state, or federal funding.
We provide rescue and relief to the homeless and endangered cats in our community through programs that offer shelter, foster, social and medical rehabilitation, feral and stray management, spay/neuter subsidy, and community education.
We operate a shelter where the majority of or cats are free to roam. Volunteer crews come in twice a day to clean the shelter and socialize with the cats. They provide a safe, caring environment while giving the attention and affection the cats deserve.
In addition to our shelter and adoption services we have a foster care network for our kittens and cats with special needs. We also have our outreach program whose members work in the community to rescue cats in danger and to educate people about living preacefully with community cats.
A number of fundraisers are held during the year. At these events, information concerning the mission of the shelter is available and also educational material on cats is distributed.
Donations, adoption fees, fund raising events and matching grants are our primary sources of income. All donations go directly to the care, feeding and medical needs of our cats. We have no paid staff. We are all volunteers.
