Farm to Table

We are raising funds and family participation to remake our atrium with a ‘Farm to Table’ theme.

We are proud that our school does many things to help keep our planet clean for generations to come. We compost, organically grow vegetables in our garden beds, encourage bike riding and use of the city bus, and diaper our little ones in cloth.

We would like to take our actions further this year by giving our children an atrium filled with imaginative play items that encourage them to learn about the food system. We’d like to include items like pretend garden beds, chicken coops, animal stalls, compost containers and even a barn inspired climber. Some of these items we will purchase or take in donation while others we hope to build ourselves with your help. Our children spend a lot of time in our atrium and we are excited to create a fun, educational space for them that encourages healthy living. We look forward to working with all of you to see this dream take root and will keep you posted as we move towards that goal.

As an extra added bonus CLP as also applied for a ‘Green Your School Grant’ to help make this project a reality. The ‘Green Your School Grant’ is given out by Episencial Actively Healthy Skincare and rewards schools who are taking initiative to make changes in their environment that teach children about conservation and that improve the school setting.
