Join us for two exciting weeks as CHOSA searches high & low for $10 donations for the children, to be matched by generous partners!
Fall Frenzy 2011 is a massive outreach effort to get as many people as possible involved in the work of CHOSA. From September 16-30, members of CHOSA's staff, volunteers and wider family are calling on everyone they know for unique $10 donations, which will be matched by some of our generous long-time donors! Every $10 a person gives gets doubled and brings us one step closer to our goal - to find 800 different donors and raise $8000 in 2 weeks for the Children of South Africa! Your donation can make a huge difference in the life of a vulnerable child.
--Please note: if you would like to make a donation over and above the $10 Fall Frenzy contribution, you are most welcome to give at our general giving page: www.razoo.com/story/Chosa
Since 2005, CHOSA has been providing support to community-based organizations that reach out to and care for orphans and vulnerable children in South Africa. Our grants enable passionate community members to provide for these children by establishing day-care centers, running after-school programs, and providing nutritious food and a safe, loving home for those who would otherwise be on the streets.
Our approach is unique: we use a grassroots fundraising model here in the U.S., which gives our staff and local volunteers in South Africa the ability to decide how funds can best be used, and ensures that money is not wasted on costly bureaucracy. But our groundbreaking model needs YOU to continue its success! CHOSA was founded on the principle that "a lot of littles make a big," and we hope you will join us by giving a donation of just $10, and challenging your friends and family members to do the same! It's quick, easy, and makes a world of difference to a child in need. Two donations from two separate people will have a greater impact than you doubling your donation, so please invite your friend/ sister/ brother/ spouse/ child/ co-worker to give as well!
CHOSA takes a holistic approach to community development. By supporting our partner CBOs, we help empower other marginalized people in these communities by encouraging grassroots organizing. Moreover, through community participation, CHOSA promotes local action, self-empowerment, and peer-to-peer networking as essential strategies for community-owned development.
