East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice is a community-based organization that works to facilitate self-advocates in Southeast Los Angeles, by providing FREE workshops and trainings and hosting community meetings, to prepare our communities to engage in the decision-making processes that directly impact the health and quality of life in the local area. EYCEJ also offers film screenings and other community-fostering events to advocate for a united community, fighting for our right to a healthy environment; fighting for life.

EYCEJ recognizes and promotes full and authentic community participation in making policies that affect them directly, promoting the implementation of Environmental Justice guidelines for local, state, and federal governments and agencies as well as industry.
EYCEJ promotes direct democratic decision-making and taking collective action for safe and healthy communities were we live, work, learn and play.
